Write a brief with a useful boundary
Define one promise to the viewer.
Prepare
Write a question the finished video should answer, then name the viewer. “Explain how a heat pump moves heat to a first-time homeowner” is more actionable than “make an amazing energy video.” Include what the audience already knows.
Work through the decision
List three required points and one boundary. You might exclude purchasing advice or restrict the period covered. Put exact spellings and source links beside the claims that need them. Separate verified facts from questions you want researched.
Review the result
Choose a tone through examples of behavior: explain unfamiliar terms, compare quantities with units, or pause after a key claim. Review the resulting script before accepting a production quote.
